Affinity Trust provides support for people with learning disabilities, those who experience Autism and people with complex behaviours. As a Bank Support Worker your role is to support people to live independently and help them to achieve their goals.

This includes shopping, cooking, managing their own homes, managing finances and enabling people to be safe. You will support people to find and experience activities enabling them to have a sense of worth and a meaningful life.

Your role will be to support people with complex needs within their own home in the Maidenhead area. You will need to be able to work as a team and also on your own Initiative, be flexible to meet the needs of the people. Be creative and ability to think out of the box.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate that you are a good listener who is able to set and maintain clear boundaries. preferably you will be able to drive and be able to motivate and be consistent in the way you provide support.

This role involves personal care. You will need to be very confident in lone working situations.

All our Bank Support Workers receive a very detailed induction and training and complete shadow shifts before working with the people we support. New staff who have not previously worked in care are supported through the nationally recognised Skills for Care Common Induction Standards.

Your training is specifically tailored to enable you to support the people you work with. When attending training courses you are paid your normal hourly rate of pay.

Your hours are set to meet the needs of the people and these could be early, late shifts, sleep in's, weekends and waking nights. 

Working hours: full and part time roles

Rate: £7.47 per hour
