Construction Planners (job ref : XWE-100415)
Kent & Gloucestershire
Profile Construction Consultants (PCC) are part of the PDSI group of companies and have been providing construction services for more than 20 years, from their base in Kent. PCC provide expert planning and programme support to all parts of the construction process.
They have historically supported contractors, subcontractors, contract administrators and client organisations, but over 30% of their work relates to pre-construction services for contractors, dealing with initial strategic advice, prequalification and tender processes. Other aspects of PCC services include progress reporting, critical path and forensic planning as experts in matters of dispute resolution and planning and reporting on major capital projects in infrastructure and multiple phased programme management.
Their core strength relates to the planning of the works using leading industry software which produces fully networked Critical Path Analytical programmes. These are supported by method statements or programme commentaries depending on the brief.
Due to an increased workload in the South East/London region together with the requirement to expand in the West of England (with particular reference to the M5 corridor), they are looking for Planners to be based in both the West Malling and Tewkesbury offices.
As a Planner you will provide a full planning service during pre-qualification, tender, contract and post contract stages. The role will support the aim of PCC in serving all customers' design and construction needs. This will be achieved through:
* The development of key working relationships with the team, clients and consultants
* Working in close partnership with local supply chain partners and using local expertise and knowledge
* Contributing to long-term customer partnerships ensuring repeat business
* Ensuring delivery on time, to budget and to agreed quality.
* Ensuring procedures are followed / maintained and that authorization parameters are not exceeded thus ensuring compliance with our group procedures
Your application should demonstrate appropriate planning experience and technical knowledge in order to fulfil the position. For the Tewkesbury office they are also looking for someone to develop the business at the same time as delivering programme support across the construction industry.
Experience and competency in planning software would be an advantage.
Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
