An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef. Our client runs a fresh food / gastropub pub in Bushey. This is very much a 100% fresh quality food venue with a good local reputation for it’s food which they continually look to improve on.
The pub is situated at the heart of Bushey (10 minutes from Stanmore or Bushey Station by bus, 142).
They are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to team up with our Head chef to produce quality fresh food and who is also able to work under their own initiative and bring new ideas to the table.
The successful candidate will be responsible for running the kitchen operation in the Head Chef’s absence, maintaining high levels of hygiene control, health and safety throughout the department, staff development and the highest food quality standards. Whilst taking an active part in developing the business as one of the sites management team.
The right person could be either a sous chef looking for a new challenge, a junior sous or chef de partie looking chance to join a great team with competitive pay, where there will always be opportunities for progression for flexible candidates who want to shine.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 year’s experience working within a similar operation and a desire to exceed expectations.
Rate £8.50 - 9.50 P/H plus share of the tips. (Approx 40-45 hours a week. )
