Affinity Trust support people with learning disabilities, as it believes that every adult has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. They are a national charity that provide high-quality personalised support for over 700 adults with learning disabilities and autism. Helping them to live a worthwhile life is the main goal.

 

They are looking for a Support Manager to manage a new supported living service in Clacton for 4 people with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that is focussed on delivering high quality services.


As a Support Manager you will be responsible for managing this new service and motivating your team to give better care in accordance with legislation, regulatory standards and contractual requirements and ensure that the needs and aspirations of the people supported are being satisfied.


You will be accustomed to multitasking and have proven experience managing team members and delivering high quality services for people with learning disabilities so that they can feel safe. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills and career working in a meaningful job.

 

You will be confident in working with people who have complex needs and whose behaviour may be a challenging. You will be supporting your staff with the difficulties they might face.

 

It is important that you can provide consistent support and be equally positive and resilient, sticking with the people you support on the many good days and some bad days that they will experience.

 

You may currently be working as a Team Leader or a Support Manager of a small service and are looking for that next challenge and opportunity. A QCF level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or a willingness to work towards it).

 

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7 days rota. Full time, waking nights and will involve a mix of hands-on shifts and admin time.

 

Salary: £26,985 per annum
