Our client provides support for people with learning disabilities, those who experience Autism and people with complex behaviours. They believe that every adult with a learning disability has the right to lead an active and fulfilling life and takes pride in supporting individuals to enjoy greater control and independence.
They are currently recruiting a support worker based in Norwich.
As a Support Worker, your role is to support people to live independently and help them to achieve their goals.
This includes shopping, cooking, managing their own homes, managing finances and enabling them to be safe. You will support them to find and experience activities enabling them to have a sense of worth and a meaningful life.
Our client support a gentleman in the Norwich area, who enjoys going out in his car, he likes visiting cafes, playing snooker, darts and listening to music. He has a great sense of humour, likes consistency and doesn't like to be let down.
They are looking for full and or part time support staff.
You should be observant, encouraging, motivating, patient and be a good listener. Being confident is a main point as you might deal with situations that may challenge and be able to think quickly and calmly in order to de-escalate at an early stage.
You will also need to be confident in lone working situations. This role involves personal care.
You must have a full UK driving licence and held it for at least 12 months. Own car is not essential for this role.
Salary is £ 14,317 GBP per annum.
