Our client believes that every adult with a learning disability has the right to lead an active and fulfilling life and takes pride in supporting individuals to enjoy greater control and independence. They are a national charity providing high-quality personalised support to over 700 adults with learning disabilities and autism.
They are currently recruiting experienced support workers in Gt Ellingham (Norfolk).
In Gt Ellingham ( Norfolk) they support three ladies who share a bungalow. Each have different interests, personalities and support needs.
The ladies require support with independent living tasks, such as cooking, housework, going out and about, shopping, attending appointments and other activities that they enjoy.
They each have a mobility vehicle which you will be required to drive. You must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 1 year and be over 21.
As a support worker to be successful in this role :
You will need to demonstrate that you are confident, observant, encouraging, motivating and patient.
This role involves personal care.
You will need to be confident in lone working situations and a good team player.
An understanding of autism and complex behaviours would be an advantage. Support work offers you a chance to make a genuine difference to people’s lives and no day will be the same!
Working hours: Part time and full time (Up to 37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Up to £14,317 pa plus enhancements for weekends
